We’re at an early stage of conducting digital transformation of the business. We’re betting on all things digital to drive our growth for the next decade. This means we plan to conduct a behavioral change for the patients in Pakistan. 

 

Online booking experience 

There’s a vast majority of patients that use phone-calls to book appointments. We are introducing a seamless online appointment booking process that ensures patients can start their appointments with a minimum delay from their selected time-slot.

 

Digital Transaction
Patients prefer to conduct business in cash-based transactions. We plan to move towards digital and POS-based transactions by building partnerships with financial institutions. We want to boost demand by introducing payment plans that allow patients to pay at their own pace so that they can enjoy their lives with 6/6 vision without having to worry too much about the finances of laser eye treatment.

Growth machine 

We've built a scalable growth machine that generates double-digit growth in eye surgery volume each quarter. Growth is a sum of a lot of small parts and many of these parts rely on digital channels and automation in patient communications that patients were previously not fully used to. Over the past 3 years, we've observed patient interactions with our digital platforms to evolve. We're now looking to continuously optimize the growth machine, conduct experiments throughout the patient journey, build new product features, and build future growth levers. ​

Diagnostic Algorithms
We plan to capture and store corneal data from our Alcon WaveLight FS200 Femtosecond Laser machine. We’re operating at the cutting edge of laser technology, our machines are able to conduct multi-dimensional movement tracking with just 2 milliseconds of latency and can create standard eye flaps in ~6 seconds. This means we can not only capture corneal surface data but also a layer deeper, underneath the flap. +20,000 data points from the eye are captured during laser eye treatments, which then will be leveraged by our machine learning algorithms to detect deficiencies such as latent retinopathy. We plan to build Pakistan’s first eye care diagnostic algorithms.
